Every Christian is called to a life of missions, and sometimes we don’t even need to leave our neighborhood.

Beginning Sunday, August 18 and running through Sunday, October 13, First Methodist is going to focus on a church-wide study of this inspiring book. John Wesley is known for saying “the world is our parish,” which is more simply stated today the “the streets are our sanctuary.”

Many of our Sunday School classes and several other small discussion groups are planning to tackle some intense discussions spawned not only by the points in the book, but the points being made from the pulpit about ways to better engage with our community in ways that make us become whole.
